Patricia Ann Odell, Attorney-at-Law, passed away Monday, 10/19/2009, after a long battle with cancer. We are urging you to keep Patricia and her family members in your thoughts and prayers. The funeral arrangements are as follows:

MHSAA Meeting Notice!!
Hi all,
The next meeting of the MHSAA will be held this Saturday, October 24, 2009, at the Memphis Public Library on the corner of Raines Rd. and Millbranch Rd. The meeting time is 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Holiday Gala tickets are being distributed!!
On the following Saturday, October 31, 2009, another meeting is scheduled for 10:00 - 12:00 noon at the same location. We are looking forward to your attendance.

Annual Block Party
The 2nd annual Mitchell High Alumni Block Party was a huge success. It was held on May 23, 2009 from 11:00 noon - 3:00 p.m. The MHSAA was contacted to join the Walker Homes-West Junction-Barton Heights Fellowship. The new location was 248 W. Mitchell (located at the Riverside End Time Outreach Picnic Grounds).
If you missed this year’s party you missed a treat. Try your best not to miss any more. Below are scenes from last year’s event.
MHSAA set up a booth to increase alumni participation. Shuttles were available, free food, gospel music, prizes, and lots of FUN. It was a great time to see old friends and meet new ones. We hope to see you at the next one!!

Now is the time to get involved!! The alumni of Mitchell High School have celebrated the school’s 50th year anniversary (see pictures below), enjoyed each other’s comradarie at our old-fashioned block party (see pictures above), and most recently dined and danced at our Holiday Gala. If you weren’t there you’ve missed a treat.
However, don’t fear; we are now making plans for the upcoming year. Come join us now to help make 2009 our best year ever. Our next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2009, 3:00 p.m. at Mitchell High School.
